I dont like to be a doomsayer, but based on our record, it seems like we are having yet another terrible season, and slowly dropping down the table.
Are we going down?
If not, how will we pull it back together?

If we stay the course we're on at the moment, it is likely. Successive relegations can only be considered a complete catastrophe so something has to change soon.
I wasn't alive in 77-78 but i would be interested to know exactly how bad we were in those days, when we were in freefall, compared to now.

i was there during that period and can say hand on heart this is one of the worse teams i have ever seen on the street ,so many shades of '97 it saddens me. on current form you would have to say yes, but who knows six points from the next two games and with results around us going our way we could be well up the table, dissapointed we have not picked up a player with a bit of bite and experence to help us out of this mess. will be interesting to see how the fans react tomorrow night never known the place feel so low.

Here's the latest league table (Played, Goal Difference, Point) 21 Hereford 25 -9 26 22 Cheltenham 26 -14 25 23 Grimsby 27 -21 20 24 Darlington 24 -38 11
I'd say that Darlington are screwed basically so that really leaves Grimsby who are currently 6 points adrift. That's not that much at this stage of the season but we do have 2 games in hand...
Our current form needs to improve or we could see ourselves dragged into it but at the moment you'd have to think things could be worse!

Who knows? On current form, it's certainly a possibility, but then, as has been pointed out, there are still clubs in L2 in a worse position than ourselves. The sad thing is, the current situation is all too similar to when we were plumbing the depths of the conference a few years back-the same drab, unimaginative football, dwindling crowds-pretty much just those who have season tickets and therefore feel obliged to turn up, and frustration that nothing seems to be happening to halt the slide. I can appreciate GT not paying attention to what's said on internet forums; most of what's on BB is cr@p; however, if he doesn't listen to those who essentially pay the players' wages then nothing will improve. The club certainly don't seem keen on interaction with supporters; the problem is, the longer the current run goes on, there soon won't be any fans to interact with.

On current form we will go down. From the last 6 matches we have the worst form in the league.
The teams we played, with their current position in brackets Port Vale (12th) Bury (2nd) Crewe (15th) Torquay (20th) Macclesfield (17th) Notts County (5th)
And the teams we've got coming up, with their current position and the amount of points i reckon we'll get:
Lincoln (19th) - 3 points Torquay (20th) - 1 point Shrewsbury (6th) - 0 points Aldershot (8th) - 1 point Burton (14th) - 0 points Northampton (13th) - 3 points (I'd like to think we'll do the double over slop, but its more likely to be northampton)
Tonight's game is the key to our season. COYW
