I do think the 'official' forum has become a joke - a lot of fans have given up posting i feel for fear of being mocked, sworn at, etc etc.
I do hope that 'Admin' on this board will monitor it properly, then it has a chance of being a decent platform for talking about Hereford United.

It was indeed needed. I just hope admin will be happy to police the board correctly in the way that many other club's forums are. It will be very important for the success of the board that unsavouries are dealt with swiftly. Could I please suggest that 'text speak' is also OUTLAWED!!!??  |

I never really posted on the other one, but read it regularly....the amount of abuse, fishing, bull****, and lack of moderation was just so tedious.
Most other clubs have decent well policed and popular forums. I see no reason why this forum can't be the same for our club.

Like you say, I'd hope that this one will be better policed than BB. Would be nice to have one that you wouldn't mind your kids seeing! Back in the day before the bans there was plenty of room for 2 popular forums - both with their own different audiences - so I can't see why we can't peacefully co-exist. Hopefully we won't have to rule the board with too much of an iron fist but rest assured if people do start to get carried away we'll step in. The sad thing is its only a small handful of people on the other board who seem to delight in liberally insulting others at the drop of a hat - but these seem to be the ones who post the most! Here's to a happy board where we can all trade opinions without it turning into an infantile slanging match. ;D |
