I'll go for a cagey 0-0 bore draw after Saturday's goal-fest. Some better defending please! Crowd of 1,599.

Boring it was, although the ref and1 linesman did their best to inject some life into the fixture. The match did bring back some memories, though, namely those of the years spent scrapping away in the bottom half of the conference. However, even in those days, we did have some players with some pride, for example - whisper it quietly- John Snape. I think one or two supporters had their doubts about the impartiality of the match officials, and their decisions seemed to knock the stuffing out of the Bulls early on, as their goal was ruled out after it had been allowed. I was in the ME so couldn't comment on the goal's legitimacy, but I didn't think retrospective decision-making was allowed. Still think relegation is an irrational threat?

It was even worse than predicted - And amazingly even worse than Saturday v Burton.
We played absolutely awful stuff, especially in the second half. Probably one of the worst performances I've seen in recent years. No creativity at all. Just a lot of random (not even hopeful) balls forward with no purpose or direction.
Pugh was the only player who looked to have any spark of invention about him and even he was having an off night. Up front we did nothing. Its all very well the crowd getting on Constantine's back but if he gets absolutely no service what the hell do they expect him to do?
It did indeed hark back to the grim days in the Conference - and the attendance was around the same too. Who is the curent side's John Snape though - probably Valentine or Jones I guess? At least they always put the effort in.
The ref and linesman combo were awful too. It'd be interesting to hear their comments on allowing our 'goal' only to dis-allow it as the ball was on the centre spot ready to kick off again.
The ref was generally very weak all night. So much pushing and shoving (especially by the chunky one) left to go unpunished.
The only consolation is that we don't have another home game for a week and a half now - it was that bad!

Jones would definitely be my nomination for this season's 'John Snape' award. Lots of honest endeavour - just not very good.
And 'the chunky one' ? Very diplomatic!!
