As reported over at Bulls News, the problem with Kenny Lunt's contract has been resolved for this season at least. And it seems he'll be offered a deal but for less money next season.
What does everyone make of Lunt? I must admit to not being keen on him at all earlier in the season but he's grown on me. He's the kind of player who can easily go unnoticed and seems to rarely play a killer ball.
His strengths seem to be subtely pulling the strings in midfield and keeping the side ticking over by linking it all together. What he really needs is a good and consistent midfield partner beside him. I think of the current crop of players he'd be one that I'd want to stay on for another season.
In celebration of him staying on I think a new chant for the Meadow End faithful is called for:
'Oh Kenny Kenny!
Kenny, Lenny, Kenny, Lenny, Kenny Lunt!'
